About
Malibu based contemporary oil painter Lori Mills has been painting California since she was thirteen years old. Lori has a B.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute, a B.S. from UCLA, an M.B.A. from USD and is a member of MENSA. Lori's painting awards include “Best in Show” for Fusion Art Waterscapes National Competition in 2019, Saatchi Gallery "Artist of the Month," and Artbest First Place "Sunrise/Sunset exhibition." Lori's work is inspired by the human form, the human heart, and the nature of Southern California. Lori can be found with her portable easel and paints at the seashore, the mountains, and the Malibu Farmer's Market.
Lori has three installations at Malibu City Hall and has had numerous solo shows and television appearances speaking about her artistic practice. Lori’s paintings are in private collections in Brentwood, Montecito, Santa Barbara, Malibu, Newport Beach, La Jolla, Venice, Bel Air, San Francisco and Manhattan. Lori's taught art and has been an art model at University. She is the current Vice President of the Malibu Art Association. Lori is the owner of The Malibu Art Gallery at the Lumber Yard at Cross Creek where she represents 14 Southern California artists. Lori's mission to provide local art as a cultural center - growing creative charitable and philanthropic events in Malibu.
Lori donates a portion of her profits to Childhelp U.S.A. - a charity she champions and has been involved with in various capacities since age thirteen. Lori's goal is to spread beauty.
